this was meant to be special…..

does anyone else think that comme des garcons move to colaberate with h&m was a bad idea? okay i was great for us fashion hungry consumers that cant dish out the big euros for a real comme piece but they have never dipped into the mass market and i thought that really made them special! they are such a unique brand that never  conformed to trends and was wouldn’t necessarily make pieces that would appeal to everyone. These more paired  down designs(dont get me wrong, they were still avant garde pieces in themselves) lessened the brand. comme des garcon, to me, has always been one of those unobtainable status symbols that i dream about getting, and now the chance of seeing some random person walking down grafton street weraring the same “comme” trench that i have pains me a little. i know i may sound ignorant but i would like to see a piece from them to be a couture, keep for the rest of your life kind of garment rather than a remember that time they did that thing with h&m.
